Hayward Vari-Flo XL multiport control valve is made of Hayward� s exclusive PermaGlass XL material and engineered for maximum flow. The Vari-Flo control valves feature an easy-to-use lever action handle that lets you "dial" up to six valve/filter functions: filter, backwash, waste, rinse, closed or recirculate. Complete with an integral sight glass that lets you see when the backwashing cycle is completed.

Valve was shipped the next day using next day air for only $3.99 Prime. I was worried after I pulled the trigger because this valve is titled "SP-0715ALL side mount" and the valve I was replacing is an SP-715ALL. The valve arrived right on time and in excellent shape. Stamped on the body of the valve is SP-715-A 4, the same as my old valve (above the waste outlet). This valve is in fact an exact match of my SP-715ALL except for: the label, which is in 3 languages, and the � inch pressure gauge tap (I plugged it using the included plug) is on the opposite side of the valve below the backwash position. Interestingly, the included diagram sheet shows the pressure gauge tap below the filter position on the valve just like my old valve. Since my pressure gauge is located on the filter, it didn't make a difference. The valve came with two 2 inch port plugs. My local pool store quoted me a price a hundred dollars more than what I paid here at Amazon.
