The Island Breeze collection by Panama Jack incorporates a tubular extruded aluminum frame in a unique powder coated Espresso finish that will not rust. The occasional end table tops offer a slatted aluminum surface that does not require glass and will accommodate an umbrella. Extruded aluminum outdoor furniture will not rust. It is lightweight as it is hollow in form. Beginning and end of season cleaning is recommended and should generally be adequate to maintain the condition of your furniture. Cleaning the furniture using a soft brush and a mild detergent will be sufficient. It is perfectly acceptable to use a silicone spray or auto wax to further protect the surface of finished aluminum but it is not necessary. It is most important to wash your furniture well before storing it for the winter to prevent the buildup of corrosive pollutants to act on the surface over the winter months. Covering your furniture if left outside is recommended but not necessary. Any covers used should be of a breathable material.

My 15 year old American (name at the time) filter holder tower had broken tabs so it had to be removed from filter in it's individual pieces. I could live with that. The drain plug no longer would seal after repeated overtightenings/strippings. But was sealed one final time a few years ago. It was the cap over threads type which was changed on the new units. The top cover no longer held a water tight seal, so it was at "end-of-life" Note: there are "flared" fitting surfaces on the top and bottom unit. If you ding these surfaces accidentally, say by dropping the top on the bottom edge, it will leak. Anyway, came quick, perfect like-for-like replacement. Comes with a filter.
I'm happy.

This is a first rate instrument with a complete English manual (including accuracy and calibration data. In particular the ability to switch between rate and Total Elapsed Dosage with out resetting the Dosage amount is a very useful feature as well as being able to program the audible thresholds.

The casing is high quality but it is still basic cell phone plastic so if you need a ruggedized enclosure you will need to look elsewhere.

Simpson 4000SP 4,000 PSI 3.3 GPM Gas Pressure Washer Review

Just got it, it was packed in a very flimsy box lined with the cheap styrofoam (which did nothing to protect it). The frame was bent and took 2 guys to straighten it out and it still doesn't look right. It must have taken a hellacious drop or something to bend that frame. The box provided no top support at all since the pressure washer has such an odd shape. No indications of "This end up" on the box either so it was undoubtedly shipped upside down at some point with who knows what on top of it. It looked like the poorly wrapped tape came off and was retaped in transit. I am really fearful to start it up. I can appreciate how difficult it is to ship a 130 pound irregular shaped machine like this, but there must be a better way than this. additional information I have learned: Do not call the customer service number provided on the manual, they have never heard of this model number and will argue with you that it is not their washer. Do not email customer service, your email goes into a black hole. Buy a heavy duty wand, mine broke after 4 hours of use. My pump broke after 1 hour of use, so be prepared to loose your pressure washer for 2 weeks for them to repair it. Take off all the screws that hold the washer tip holding plate to the frame arms and add lock washers to them, mine vibrated loose after 3 hours of use. So ends my first full day of using this pressure washer.

Weber Summit S-660 LP Grill (2770501) Stainless Steel Review

I recently had to return this grill. I had purchased it for an outdoor kitchen. However, according to the instructions it requires 24" behind the grill. Since this was to be next to the house, it would have required a 4 foot deep countertop to accomodate the grill and additional space. The local inspector would not approve it unless it was installed according to Weber's diagram. Weber does not seem to list this space requirement in any of their advertising. I assume it grills well, but I'll never know.

The bench is a darker brown than appears in the photo and is rustic looking. I wanted something not too wide or deep to fit a small space outside the door for changing in and out of muddy shoes. This fits the bill. It occasionally gets wets but the water doesn't penetrate. It's made of solid wood and is sturdy for its small size.
