Product Description
Electric pressure washers are the ideal way to efficiently clean surfaces in industrial applications with the power of pressurized water jets. 1850 PSI and 1.35 GPM gives this unit the power to spray and scrape away grit and grime with ease. A 120-Volt, 15-Amp induction motor offers gas-like performance with the benefit of being quiet, odorless, and having zero emissions. Durable axial pump is long-lasting and will withstand years of heavy use. Brass-head Italian pump features a built-in unloader which optimizes performance and reduces setup time. The durable cart features heavy steel construction and a fold-down handle for transportation. This pressure washer includes a 25-Foot high pressure hose with spray gun, a lance, two quick-connect spray tips, a chemical tube for connecting to a 1 or 5 gallon soap container and a 35-Foot GFCI-equipped power cord, all of which can be stored in the convenient on-board storage. CSA approved to CSA and UL standards.Campbell Hausfeld CP5101 1850 PSI Industrial Electric Pressure Washer Review
This is a review of the Campbell Hausfeld CP5101 electric pressure washer. My experience has been extremely positive, and seemingly rather different from the previous two reviewers.Build quality is very high. The unit is compact and built on a steel tubular frame. It uses an electric induction motor rather than the universal motor typically found on consumer units. This should last far longer. It is much quieter when operating. The pump is also high quality and similar in style to what is found on gas-powered units. It can be repaired and Campbell Hausfeld provides a full parts list.
The gun is almost professional quality. There is a manual lock that can be used to disable the trigger to prevent accidents. The quick connect for the tip works easily and smoothly.
The unit requires a standard 15 Amp 120V AC outlet. It draws 15 Amps, with a higher brief surge while starting. It works fine on a 15 Amp circuit but there must be nothing else consuming electricity on that branch (circuit breaker) while using the washer. A dedicated line is best. The CP5101 electric cable has an integral Ground Fault Condition Indicator (GFCI) for safety.
It comes with a 35 foot power cable and a 25 foot high-pressure hose. You cannot use an electrical extension cord. A second 25 foot high-pressure extension hose may be used although it will not be able to use detergent.
It takes less than a half-hour to put together the handle frame, the tip holder, and the wand. They provide a clear manual in English, Spanish, and French.
It is important to follow their directions for starting the unit. The pump should never be started dry. After connecting and turning on the water supply, activate the trigger so low-pressure water is flowing out the wand. WHILE letting the water continue to flow, turn on the unit. Once it is on you can of course release the trigger.
The unit comes with only two tips - a black 65-degree low-pressure tip for spreading detergent and a yellow 15-degree high-pressure general cleaning tip. The CP5101 uses a standard 1/4-inch quick connector and any tips rated for about 2,000 PSI should be usable. At the suggestion of Campbell Hausfeld's helpful customer service people I ordered a BE Pressure (BE Pressure Washer Quick Connect 2.5 GPM nozzles (4)) set of four tips to have a red 0-degree and white 40-degree tip. I am ordering a green 25-degree tip from Campbell Hausfeld to see how it does. (The colors are standardized across manufacturers - probably a good safety feature since you know the angle by the color.)
The yellow tip does very well even with no detergent on very dirty siding or pavement. Even the white 40-degree tip easily cleaned concrete of built-up green accumulation from trees.
I've spent a total of about five hours cleaning siding and pavement. So far I have just used water and not bothered with any detergent. It works really well.
This washer is way better than the typical ones sold in retail stores.
I actually bought it from Home Depot through their website. The price was a lot lower than the third-party sellers on Amazon at the time. It was actually drop shipped directly from the manufacturer.
Very highly recommended for an extremely well-made, high quality, easy-to-use pressure washer.
