I have two english cocker spaniels that I have grooming myself now for 4 years now. I used andis clippers before I purchased these and will NEVER go back. Having a faster motor like this one does definitely makes a difference. Much smoother, quieter and barley any clipper marks. I'm by no means a professional groomer; just taught myself how to groom my own dogs. I use the clippers maybe once every other to 2 months so I know they will last a long time. Next on my list is to purchase the laube clipper blades as well. This one comes with a #10, but for my dogs I also use a #5 and #7F.
