All in all a great rain barrel with one major flaw. Easy to install in about an hour and even came with a hole saw for the gutter. But after a couple months I can go out and slap the side of my full barrel and watch mosquitoes fly out the lid "locking" mechanism itself. I've asked Earthminded about this and will update if they have anything constructive to add but I'm guessing just a design flaw I'll have to address by shoving things in the cracks or duct tape.

While the part itself seems fine, I only needed to replace the small blue plastic piece on top but it is not available to purchase separately. So I paid a lot of money for a huge part when all I needed was part of it. That's how it goes though. That's the only reason for the 2 rating. Well, and that actual blue part is not too strong so I don't recommend using that part to grip and pick it up from.

New England Arbors Versailles Garden Bed Review

The parts are made of high-grade PVC material that will last forever. The beds were easy to assemble (took about 10 minutes) and had all the parts required for assembly. I worried that the sides might bulge a bit when filled with dirt but the PVC slats are strong enough to keep that from happening. I've only had them installed for about 3 weeks but so far I've very pleased with the result.

Easy to put together. Quality material. I have a rocky yard and this unit didn't flinch. I've rented the power aerators and this is just as good but a lot easier. I hooked it up to my tractor, grabbed a cigar, and aerated my 1/2 acre yard. I used sand bags for additional weight. This unit can handle a lot of weight but I was limited to the power of my John Deere (17 hp). Highly recommend.

Solo 643-16 16-Inch 40.2cc 2.7 HP 2-Stroke Gas Powered Commercial Grade Chain Saw Review

Ok I took a little bit of time to pick out the brand and model of saw to suit my needs. Stihl,Husky,Echo,Dolmar. The Solo was chosen on price to performance. The next was starting. Lots of other chainsaw reviews showed poor starting. Looking closely at this saw, through their web site, these are made with tons of technical features that make this a saw that will last me a long time.
I have had the saw for 2+months now and it starts every time. Freezing cold out and it starts. I started it cold 50 times at least. I had a 28" thick pine tree that had fallen. It diced it up in no time. This saw is powerful and super light. Branching was great. This saw is balanced and there is no vibration. I bought this saw with an 18" bar and chain not a 16". The bar and chain are made by Oregon, real nice set up. Promised my self to to review this saw, whether it was good or bad.

Swisher RC18552BS 18.5 HP Tow Behind Rough Cut Mower Electric Start, 52-Inch Review

Purchased the Swisher RC18552BS at a local shop and first off, it's a huge mower (~ 700 lbs)so unless you're pulling on flat hard ground, you're going to need one of the larger displacement ATVs on the market (I'm using KQ-750). Upon inspection, noticed that several of the bolts holding the deck together are missing nuts; looks like they spun the bolts and forgot to put nuts on the other side (Quality Control Issue?). A trip to home depot for 4 3/8" lock nuts, disconnect the battery and spark plug, reach under the mower and good to go. Next, per the instructions, fired up the mower, engaged the belt and let it run for 5-minutes. Next, hooked to the ATV and started rolling. This mower rolls right over everything in it's path, leaving nothing but stubble behind. Took down a grove of 2" scrub trees with no problem whatsoever. Tall grass was also quickly dispatched. My only thought here is that the controller unit that attaches to the ATV is a bit sticky controlling the throttle, it seems to be unresponsive due to the length of cable. I'll have to get creative and see if there is a way to make it work a bit better. Offsetting this mower from middle to left or right is very easy and quick. Adjusting the height of the mower deck looks to be somewhat of a chore; I will likely leave it at factory setting and forget about it. Overall, the unit works very well at clearing brush. The nice thing about such a large mower deck is, of course, less time spent mowing. For the price, this mower is hard to beat but if you're rolling in dough the Kunz Engineering AcrEase might be a better option. I'll try to provide updates to this review as I have time to use the unit more over the course of the summer. 4-Stars for overall price and performance.
